Natalia Baquero

Piano

Born in Zaragoza, Spain, she begins her studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música of Zaragoza with Diego Cayuelas; in 1999 she graduated in piano, chamber music, music theory, accompaniment and transposition with the highest notes, obtaining an honour prize as an achievement in her studies in the conservatory.

In 1999 she moves to Paris, France with to two scholarships: one by the “Diputación Provincial de Zaragoza” and the other one by the “Asociación de Artistas, Intérpretes y Ejecutantes de España”, during that time she studies with Anne-Lise Gastaldi, Jean-Marie Cottet and Nathalie Juchors. In 2001 she obtains the “Premier Prix à l´unanimité avec Félicitations” de la Maison des Conservatoires and in 2002 “Premier Prix Supérieur” at the Ecole Nationale de Musique d´Aulnay-Sous-Bois (Paris). By the year 2003 she completed her studies obtaining a “Prix d´excellence à l´unanimité” at the Ecole de Musique d´Aulnay-Sous-Bois.

She participated in piano master classes with: Alicia de Larrocha, Laurent Cabasso, Eric Ferrand-N’Kaoua, Jean-Marie Cottet, Ramón Coll and Alain Motard. Chamber music master classes with: Maite Berrueta, Stanislav Pochekin and Almudena Cano, musical analyse with: Jean-Michel Ferrand, Carles Guinovart y José María Laborda and musical pedagogy with Violeta-Hemsy de Gainza.

Natalia Baquero has been presented as a soloist or in chamber music formation at: Colegio de España of París, Auditorio de Música de Zaragoza, Ciclo de Juventudes Musicales de Zaragoza, Ciclo “Jóvenes en concierto” organised by the Junta de Castilla y León y Ciclo de “Música del siglo XX” organised by the Conservatorio Profesional de Música of Salamanca.

Interested in contemporary music she collaborated with the Ensemble ARCEMA (Paris) and she is a founding member of SMASH ensemble in Salamanca (Spain), with that same group she played in the I Festival SMASH and the TNT auditorium in Bordeaux, France. She made a recording financed by the Consejo para la cultura y las Artes de Nuevo León (Mexico), recorded at the Radio France studios in Paris.

Natalia Baquero is piano professor at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música of Salamanca since the year 2002.
